2006/09/08: Jollys reach the cup final ! Following a historic semi final "victory" against Layton Institute the Jollys will be appearing in this years cup final against the ever present South Shore Shovellers

So, if you've got nothing better to do, get your picnic baskets filled and mosey on over to Great Eclleston cricket club. The game starts at 1:00 p.m. and there'll be proper umpires, four innings of cricket and a cheap bar to boot ! Fun for all the family (especially any alcoholics - ed.)

2006/08/27: Chairman and founder member "Cockney" Stu is levaing us. Having decided they wish to pursue a life in sunnier climes Stu, Cheryl and Shannon have upped sticks off to Cyprus.

However all is not lost as Stu has agreed to not only retain his chairmanship but to take on the newly created role of "Overseas Development Officer". So perhaps a tour of Cyprus might one day be in the offing ? (not at the rate you lot spend every last groat you get on booze - ed.)

So all that's left for us to do say "So long, and thanks for all the fish.".

Powelly's broken foot

2006/06/11: Well it's a disaster for the Jollys as Powelly has broken a bone in his foot playing kickballl with his younglings... So whilst he may still be able to get to the pub he's not going to be fit for either batting or bowling for a good few weeks (probably about 6 -ed.). Sadly the Jollys budget won't stretch to giving him an oxygen tent so he'll just have to make do with a few pints of Becks instead. Botheration...

And as if this wasn't bad enough then this thursday's game has been called off due to both teams wanting to watch Eng-ur-lund playing kickball on the televisor.... Pah ! Overpaid, unsporting yobbos the lot of 'em.
